Taff's first experience with Land Rovers was growing up in a farming community in North Wales and was greatly expanded during his 12 years in the military as a vehicle mechanic. His first rover was a 200 Tdi D-90 that was used in competition and club events. Upon moving to the States for work, Taff picked up a Disco II for its on-road abilities and after a few modifications has enhanced its off-road abilities as well.
